About Us

Owner Sam Hershberger began working in construction at the age of 17 building new houses. Framing homes for about 4 years gave him an appreciation for a solid foundation and good bones for any building. The only thing as important to a structure is having a safe roof to protect the people and belongings underneath it.

Later, Sam started and ran a metal roofing company for 5 years in Minnesota then moved back to Ohio and resumed his career in construction, while continuing in the roofing industry. Now happily serving South Dakota and surrounding states as part of the Conklin group, providing top-quality products combined with excellent service and guaranteeing both. Growing up on the family farm taught Sam to be disciplined and hardworking. By age 14 he was in charge of the farm and sawmill because he was responsible beyond his years. “Instilled in our family was hard work, integrity, treating people with respect and always being honesty.” One of 14 children, number 8 in the lineup, Sam thrives on making connections and meeting new people. In fact, “connecting and serving others is my favorite part of this line of work”.
